Twitch Video Resizer Privacy Policy
Effective date: 30 October 2026
This policy describes how Twitch Video Resizer, published by Keydose, handles information. The extension’s purpose is to resize and crop Twitch video players and remember the user’s display preferences.
The extension processes player information on your device and saves display preferences locally. It does not send this information to the developer or third parties. It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking services, or remotely loaded executable code.
Information processed on your device
- Current Twitch page information: the extension reads the current Twitch page URL to identify a channel or video and choose the corresponding settings profile. It checks for changes while you navigate within Twitch.
- Player and layout information: it reads video dimensions, player/container sizes, relevant page elements and their styling, and fullscreen state to calculate and apply the selected display mode. It does not record, copy or upload video, audio, screenshots, chat messages, or other page content.
- Display preferences: it handles your selected mode, custom width and height ratio, zoom, and horizontal and vertical position.
The extension does not access the browser’s history database or collect your passwords, authentication cookies, account credentials, payment information, health information, or precise location. Channel and video identifiers refer to the content being viewed; the extension does not read your signed-in Twitch account identity.
Local storage and retention
When you change or reset settings, the extension saves the display preferences in chrome.storage.local, associated with the relevant channel or video identifier (or a default profile). These identifiers can indicate which Twitch content you have configured. They are used only to restore the right display settings. The extension does not save a timestamped browsing log or use Chrome’s storage sync service.
Saved profiles remain on your device until the extension’s local data is cleared or the extension is uninstalled. Reset settings replaces the current profile’s preferences with defaults; it does not delete the saved profile identifier. You can view and change the current profile’s preferences through the extension controls. Choosing Original restores the normal player presentation while retaining the profile.
Temporary player/layout information and in-memory profiles are used during the current page session and are released when the page is closed or reloaded.
Use and sharing
Information is used only to provide the extension’s player resizing, cropping and per-channel/video preference features. The extension makes no external network requests and does not transmit this information to the developer, Twitch, a hosting service, or any other third party. The developer does not receive or have remote access to your saved profiles through the extension.
Data is not sold, shared for advertising, used for unrelated purposes, or used to determine creditworthiness or for lending. The extension’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Permissions
Storage: saves and restores your local display preferences. Access to Twitch pages: allows the bundled content script to locate and style the player and identify the current channel/video. The script is limited to twitch.tv, www.twitch.tv and player.twitch.tv.
Twitch, the Chrome Web Store and this policy website
Twitch and your browser continue to operate under their own privacy policies. Their normal network requests are not requests made by this extension. The Chrome Web Store may independently provide aggregate installation and usage statistics to publishers under Google’s policies; the extension does not implement its own analytics.
This policy page contains no scripts, analytics, external fonts, or embedded resources. The provider hosting this page may process ordinary website request information, such as an IP address and technical logs, under its own privacy policy. Your extension settings are not sent to this page or its host.
Changes
This policy will be updated if the extension’s information handling changes. The effective date above identifies the current policy.
